I bought 3 sets of these a couple years ago - gave one set as a gift to a 70 year old Elvis fan, another to a 30 year old fan, and have used the 3rd with my older electronics. They are still in great shape - the earpieces, cord, and connection remain strong, and the sound through the set remains clear. When the youngest generation of our extended family, (including a 7 and 12 year old), began accumulating and using older electronics, I ordered a couple more bud sets and gave them as gifts. The sturdy boxes helped make nice presentations and the "Jail House Rock" design provided a perfect conversation starter that helped teach the young ones about Elvis' many accomplishments in the entertainment world. While members of the generation that "grew up" with Elvis are completing their turns here on earth, it's heartwarming to see the youngest generations discovering - and enjoying - all things Elvis, and much more, from that era.
